God Is Great, God Is Good’ Bill Anderson Performs At Larry’s Country Diner

A gifted singer and guitarist gave a moving and heartfelt performance about the faithfulness, love and righteousness of God.

Life is an often grueling and painful experience, which can and does leave many people confused and searching for answers. Yes, there are pleasant instances throughout life, but when times get bumpy, and the road ahead is unknown, a guiding, comforting hand can make all the difference.

The good Lord is the one who guides and directs our paths in life. He comforts and heals in times of despair and agony. He is always faithful and always good.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Bill Anderson turned in a delightful performance, singing about how the good Lord has been and always will be faithful. He sings “God is Great, God is Good.” The track’s opening lines explain the nature of God as succinctly and sufficiently as possible.

“God is great, God is good
He’s blessed me more than he should
Every trouble, every care
I take to him in prayer
He’s always there”

Those who have been following Him and reading His Word for any significant amount of time understand that those lines are a perfect description of God. Most people do not have any reason to want. Their basic needs are met on a continual basis. In fact, if most were really and truly honest with themselves, they’d admit they have much more than they deserve.

Also, those lines mention that God is always faithful. Throughout His Word, the Bible states that God will never leave nor forsake us. He is always near, always protecting, guiding and directing.

Additionally, God is constantly willing to listen and shoulder any and every burden and care we may bring Him. Answers to those prayers may not come at a time or in a fashion of our liking, but He does hear and answer prayer according to His will.

Like the song's title, God is always great, and He is always good. He supplies us with more than any of us deserve.

Psalm 145:9 “The Lord is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all His works.”
