Country Crooner Performs The Judds’ Hit ‘Love Is Alive’ On The Voice

One of the remaining contestants on The Voice treated the judges, the studio audience and those watching home to a touching performance of a hit country song.

Over the years, The Judds have blessed the public with their soulful and catchy country tunes. In the 1980s and the 90s, The Judds, the mother and daughter duo - Naomi and Wynonna - cranked out hit after hit.

Decades later, those songs are still getting plenty of listens. “Why Not Me,” “Grandpa,” “Mama He’s Crazy,” “Love Can Build a Bridge” and others have garnered millions of plays on Spotify. Grace West, a member of Team Blake, on The Voice, performed another one of the Judds’ hits, “Love is Alive.”

Grace, with her beautiful country sound, and The Judd hit were a perfect match. It was an excellent song selection for the young woman. She absolutely knocked the performance out of the park.

The audience loved Grace’s sweet, melodic, clean and professional-sounding performance. Grace would give these impressive vocal runs that would send the studio audience into a frenzy, causing them to erupt in cheers and applause.

Those sitting in the crowd weren’t the only ones who enjoyed Grace’s take on The Judd hit. In the clip, at various times, the camera would catch the judges bobbing their heads around, in sync with the song as Grace performed.

At the end of her performance, the audience shows the young woman some much-deserved love and appreciation. They give her a thunderous round of applause and more than a few cheers and shouts. Blake Shelton, who gives Grace a standing ovation, says, “Now we’re talking.”

The young woman is not the flashiest of performers. She does not make a big spectacle of herself by wearing some outrageous getup or dancing around the stage. But her sound is always very professional and clean. What more could you want from an artist?

A Prayer for Victory over Sinful Thoughts - Your Daily Prayer - July 26

Victory over sinful thoughts starts with dependence upon God to stay free from enslaving sin. It’s a life lived with a surrendered mouth and heart before God. Winning requires us to remember our Rock, who rescues us and gives us a firm standing place, and our Redeemer, who rescues us from total loss.
