All-Male Choir Leaves Judges And Audience in Tears With Heavenly Audition
A group of supremely talented vocalists evoked strong emotional reactions from the judges and the studio audience on Britain’s Got Talent.
Music performed beautifully can bring about various reactions from a group. It can cause people to stand, cheer, shout and clap. Those very same sounds can also leave people with tears welling up in their eyes and streaming down their faces. The stunning performance from Johns’ Boys, an all-male choir, was enough to bring some to tears.
Prior to their performance, the group’s conductor indicated that they don’t get the chance to perform in front of an audience often, at least not humans anyway.
“We rehearse on a Sunday afternoon,” the group’s director said. “We’re rehearsing in a cow shed. Just to see two-legged people is marvelous.”
It's only seconds into their performance when the studio audience lets out a round of applause and cheers. It’s clear this group, with members from ages 14 to 73, has been blessed with a ton of musical talent.
The group’s rendition of Calum Scott’s “Biblical” had Bruno, one of the program's judges, stunned, amazed and with tears in his eyes. Later, in the clip, Amanda confesses that she was moved to tears as well.
The camera also caught a female member of the studio audience brushing away tears. At the conclusion of their performance, the group gets a much-deserved standing ovation.
When it came time for the judges to give feedback. Bruno did not hold back, referring to the performance as “divine.”
“I’m telling you, the blend of your voices, the balance, the harmonies, it was divine,” Bruno said. “I felt, really, I was in music heaven. Perfection. Perfection.”
It’s no surprise that Johns’ Boys choir received four yes votes. Those heavenly voices, which should probably be heard by more people and less cows, are headed into the next round.
1 Corinthians 14:15 “What is it then? I will pray with the spirit, and I will pray with the understanding also. I will sing with the spirit, and I will sing with the understanding also.”
