Megan Danielle Take Us Back With ‘Angel From Montgomery’ Cover On American Idol

One contestant on American Idol dazzled the studio audience and the judges with her take on a beloved country hit.

The current season of American Idol is quickly coming to an end. What started out as hundreds of people hoping to become the next winner of American Idol is now down to just 10 people.

One of those people left is the immensely talented Megan Danielle. Throughout the competition, the 20-year-old from Douglasville, Georgia, has consistently impressed by singing songs of worship and praise. Megan has used her beautiful voice and position on the show to praise the Lord.

In her latest appearance, Megan sang “Angel from Montgomery”, a tune made famous by John Prine and Bonnie Raitt. Megan, as she has all season, was most impressive, displaying her uniquely distinctive voice in the song’s opening notes. Megan’s beautiful raspy, southern growl was on display for all to enjoy.

Her performance was simply terrific! The audience loved it, giving her a thunderous round of applause and booming cheers at the end of the song. The judges – Lionel Richie, Luke Bryan and Katy Perry – could not contain their excitement and reaction to Megan’s wonderfully professional-sounding performance.

At the end of the clip, Lionel, Luke and Katy are all handshakes and smiles, seemingly ecstatic at what they have just witnessed.

Megan’s growth as a singer and performer has been significant and wholly evident throughout the season. To see her come from a shy, scared young woman who was obviously overwhelmed to giving that caliber of performance on live TV is astounding.

The judges have been effusive in their praise of Megan all season and deservedly so. Megan is a wonderful singer. Whether she wins or loses, it’s clear that this young woman has a future using her voice to praise and honor the Lord.

Psalms 104:33 “I will sing to the Lord as long as I live: I will sing praise to my God while I have my being.”
