'Call On The Name' Cody Carnes Acoustic Performance

Ready to have a moment with God and soak in his presence? Listen to ‘Call On The Name’ sung by Cody Carnes during an acoustic performance.

There is something about the acoustic sound that stirs our souls deeply. Pair acoustic with a worship song and we have the perfect recipe to worship God as he soothes our anxious souls and aching hearts.

Cordy Carnes’ performance is like a warm embrace of our heavenly father as we call on his name as he croons: “I call on the name of Jesus. I want to be saved. I never want to be the same. This life I’m living it’s all Yours. It’s all Yours.”

Cody Carnes used to duet with his wife Kari Jobe before he decided to go solo. He channels aspects of U2 and Cold Play and has a Southern rock taste in his music. He was called to music from a young age. In his teens, he played in several bands before he became a part of Gateway Worship. There, he met his future wife Kari Jobe. They were often found together writing songs before they tied the knot. After they married, the pair moved to Nashville and had a son. Can you imagine their little boy’s lullaby songs with two talented parents?

What I love about Cody is his ability to draw in the Holy Spirit as he worships our heavenly father. His words become a prayer as we praise the Lord for his goodness, his mercy, and his sovereignty. So often in life, we get caught up in our circumstances. We’re being pulled in 1,000 different directions and we struggle to focus on Jesus alone. But the Good Book promises us in Romans 10:13, “Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Thank you Jesus for this undeniable truth! May this worship video be the tool you need to shut out the distractions as you sing along and worship Jesus.

“Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved,” Romans 10:13.
