In today’s episode, Becket goes back to the 70s and looks at the popular sitcom, “One Day at a Time.” He examines a scene from an episode called, “Pressure,” where Barbara, who is now 18 years old, is considering sleeping with her boyfriend. She tries, in vain, to get sound advice from her mother and sister. No one has a good answer because they are operating within a secular humanistic worldview. They can only look within. Of course, this was an early iteration of what’s plaguing our culture today: look within, follow your heart, you be you, etc. It’s amazing how we have been indoctrinated in this stiff since the 70s…and before.
