Have you ever wondered if your feelings of shame are keeping you from having a stronger relationship with God? As a pastor's wife who’s worked with thousands of women, I see it all the time.

Today I share the story of a woman I met whose life choices seem to be taking her on a path of increasing isolation from God–and, truth be told, I’m not sure she realizes why.  However, as I’ve talked with her, I sense she struggles with feelings of shame and unworthiness.

As we navigate through her story, we delve into the dichotomy of guilt and shame - the former tethered to our actions, the latter etched into our identity. We discover how a pervasive sense of shame can stifle our spiritual connection with God.

We run away from Him when we could run to Him. 

God's acceptance is not conditional upon our perfection. It's time we unravel the complex concepts of guilt and shame and understand how they shape our relationship with God.
