A Prayer to Live from Your True Identity

Reference: 2 Corinthians 5:7

What does it means to be a new creation in Christ? It is important to remember that our worth is found in who God says we are—not in what we do.

Before any role—mom, teacher, friend, or neighbor—you are first and foremost a child of the one true King. Let us remember our spiritual identity and extend the same dignity to others as fellow image-bearers of God.

Prayer Father, may my friend look to You for her identity instead of the things of this world. As she looks to you, may she live out of her identity as beloved and forgiven, doing the good works you created her to do, and most of all, that she is a beloved child. Help us all to see our children, our friends, and our enemies as equally loved by you. In the name of the Father, and the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Amen.
