A Prayer for Christmas Eve by Stacey Thacker
We can confidently say, “That’s not me—that’s Jesus in me.”In today’s episode, we reflect on the beautiful truth found in 2 Corinthians 4:6–7—that the God who spoke light into existence has chosen to place His glorious light within us.God chooses broken, sinful people not despite their weakness, but because of it. When His light shines through us, it becomes unmistakably clear that the power comes from Him—not from us. Others may wonder how we endure hardship, live with joy, or walk through trials with hope.
Reference: 2 Corinthians 4:6-7
Prayer: Father, we have nothing to recommend ourselves. We are like common clay pots. You have chosen to fill us with your glorious light. Please shine through us so that others may know that this is not from us but you. In Jesus name, amen.

Christlike welcome of others is what Scripture calls us to do, not because we must as a checklist obligation, but because doing so reflects the heart of our Savior who lovingly bids us to come to Him despite our brokenness and sin.
