Confidence! We've been told it comes from having a great body or achievements, or worse -- some say we can have confidence just by having more self love. But is this really what the Bible teaches? I don't think so. I think the kind of confidence we need doesn't come from greater self esteem, but from greater God esteem. We can be most confident when we lay our own accomplishments, achievements, resume, or looks aside and determine to let it be Jesus in us that shines through. This is God confidence. And, guess what friends? Unlike our bodies or our statuses or our achievements--this kind of confidence can never be ripped away or shaken. Our verse of the day is 2 Corinthians 12:9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.
