Today (8.1), Capitol CMG artist Jamie MacDonald releases “Left It In The River,” a powerful new single that captures a spirit of release, redemption, and renewal. Driven by a steady four-on-the-floor beat and an anthemic chorus that declares “Where is my guilt, where is my shame? I left it in the river,” the song delivers a message of freedom that is both deeply personal and universally resonant.

“Left It In The River” arrives on the heels of MacDonald’s breakout success “Desperate,” which held the No. 1 position on the Billboard Christian AC and Mediabase Christian AC charts for seven consecutive weeks. The song, written during a season of grief following the loss of her father, connected with listeners navigating pain, faith, and healing. A reimagined version of “Desperate” featuring GRAMMY Award winner Lauren Daigle is also available now and continues to expand the song’s reach.
