Christian Music Newcomer Mary Lou Lackey Releases Debut Single 'Thrill of It'

Mary Lou Lackey, an emerging singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, has released her debut song, "Thrill Of It." The song was co-written by Chris Llewellyn and Stephen Mitchell of Rend Collective and Savannah Locke, and produced by Wil Pearce (known for his work with Rend Collective and Chris Renzema) and Stephen Mitchell. This upbeat track is all about letting go of control.

Hailing from Pumpkin Center, NC, Mary Lou has a passion for storytelling and creating heartfelt music. With over 300 original songs in her portfolio and proficiency in playing guitar, piano, and mandolin, she showcases a unique sound that blends folk, blues, rock, and pop within the faith genre. Her musical journey began with childhood performances in church and has since led to national recognition, including earning a Golden Ticket on American Idol. Her powerful vocals and meaningful lyrics, shaped by her experiences—particularly her journey living with OCD—resonate deeply with audiences.

Under the development and management of the new company Ginger Daisy Ventures, Mary Lou has positioned herself as an artist to watch. Her live performance of the song "Tear Stains On My Bible" quickly gained over 95,000 views on YouTube, significantly increasing her subscriber count on the platform.
