Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Yuri Brown is an actress, television host and radio personality. She has appeared in several television and film productions including Universals' Deliver Us From Eva, CBS CSI New York and The District, MTV's Carmen and the WB's Off Centre. Stage productions include "Macbeth" as Lady Macbeth and Bloodwedding as "The Wife". She currently has two films wrapping production and is preparing to play the role of Tonya in King Hedley II an August Wilson play. When not auditioning, working on stage or film Yuri hosts a radio show called The Hour of Interest which endeavors to bring to light compelling societal issues and their solutions. Guests of The Hour of Interest have included everyone from HBO director, Dana Perry to Latice Sutton, mother of the missing Mitrice Richardson. In finishing her first book, "Stand", she hopes to shed even greater light on the troublesome conditions of innercity America and the solutions that everyday Americans can easily deliver. In addition to her community activism Yuri sees her life work as mirroring and uplifting some small portion of humanity through story - stage, theater and film.
