Three years after Kirk Martin accepted Christ as Savior, he began to minister locally with Huron Valley Youth for Christ. As God opened doors, Kirk soon found himself ministering all over North America, leading worship and preaching the gospel. Festivals, conferences, churches and First Nations Reservations are just a few of the places Kirk ministered in song and testimony.
KirkÃÃâs fondest memory is leading worship at a small inner-city church. Located in C%#! Corridor Detroit, it was one of the worst areas for drugs, pros$!$%@ution, murder and homelessness. Kirk could hardly wait to get home from ministry trips, just to get in the gutter and love someone.
Lesley first began to minister only six months after she accepted Christ as her savior. As a new believer, Lesley was quickly immersed in the presence of God at the Toronto Revival, and she soon became part of a worship team in Mt. Brydges, Ontario Canada, where her gifts were quickly recognized.
Lesley joined YWAM and ministered in Canada, the US and Mexico. Lesley also volunteered at Calvary Pentecostal Tabernacle in Ashland Virginia. There, she was given the opportunity to lead worship and serve in many different capacities.
On November 8th 2002, God directed Kirk and Lesleys paths to cross at a First Nations Worship conference in Ottawa Canada. After hours of talking on the phone and emailing each other, Kirk and Lesley discovered they had a common hunger to find and lead lost and hurting people, into the glory and presence of GOD. They would sit for hours praying, worshiping and seeking the face of Jesus, which helped create many of the songs on the worship CD Covenant. As time went by, they realized that God had put them together to lead people to salvation and into His presence with music. They were married on May 31st 2003, and have been blessed with three children, Jacob,Daniel and the news addition to the family is Matthew.
