Comedian Breaks Down ‘Midwest Nice’—and It’s Hilariously Accurate

A comedian broke down “Midwest nice” – and it’s hilariously accurate. He mentioned and provided several truly spot-on examples that help to illustrate what it means by the often-heard but misunderstood term. Watch the short but hysterical clip to hear the comedian accurately explain what “Midwest nice” means.

The United States of America is a vast country that encompasses many different regions, climates and landscapes. We are truly blessed to live in a place that greatly differs from one end to the other. Thanks to that diversity, so much can be seen and experienced without ever leaving the country. There is literally something for everyone in the United States of America.

However, as you’ve likely already discovered, these differences in the country manifest themselves in various ways. The weather and landscapes are the most obvious, but it goes even deeper than that. How individuals talk, what they say and the dishes they eat will vary depending on the area of the country you’re in at the time. Even how people treat and respond to one another from one region to the next likely won’t be the same.

In a clip posted on YouTube, a comedian explains what it means when someone says, “Midwest nice.” If you’re not from the heartland or very familiar with the middle part of the country, you may not understand the treatment associated with that term. Well, you’re in luck because this clip is a crash course in Midwestern niceties and politeness.

As he correctly states, if you want to exhibit “Midwest nice,” you must first apologize profusely, even for things you have absolutely no control over.

He then gives some hysterical examples such as apologizing for the weather, that the Packers did not perform their best and because someone is feeling under the weather.

Of course, there are other Midwestern niceties mentioned in the video, but if you can master the first one, you’re well on your way to mastering “Midwest nice.”

Ephesians 4:29 “Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for edifying as the need may be, that it may give grace to them that hear.”
