Aner, Like I've said.. We're just going to go in circles on this and get nowhere. I cannot deny the Godhead, and it's something I can't explain as too why I can't deny it. We can throw scripture after scripture and get nowhere. I can't deny that Jesus is God. He didn't robe Himself in flesh to hide. He put that on to come here and save us. If I had a son, I would never tell him to go die a horrible and painful death to save my people. I would go and do that myself. You can quote many scriptures that may seem to prove the Trinity, but the Bible never says there are 3 Gods, or 3 persons in the Godhead. It states that there is no other God beside Him. He looks to the left and right and see's no one else. The very first commandment says "Hear O' Israel, the Lord (or YHWH/Jehovah/God) our God is One Lord(YHWH/Jehovah/God). If the word Trinity isn't in the Bible, then there isn't a Trinity at all. But I'm done discussing this. We're going in circles and getting nowhere. God Bless.

Aner, I've seen people get healed during services like this one. I remember going to a UPCI Apostolic Campground 2 years ago and seeing an older lady everyday try to walk from her dorm to the kitchen everyday. She had a walker and could barely move. Well one night Brother Lee Stoneking was there preaching, and God was really moving. I managed to get to the platform to see him lay his hands on her forehead and shout "Be healed in the Name of Jesus!". She took that walker, tossed it beside her and began to jump, shout and dance. Now for a whole week she couldn't walk well, but after that night she did not need that walker anymore. I've even attended a Holy Ghost Revival at our Ohio General Conference. I've seen people get slain in the Spirit, drunk in the Spirit, and be healed. People in wheelchairs get up and walk, broken bones and sprains healed, illness's healed. I myself had been drunk in the Spirit before and I know for a fact that it wasn't because I was excited, even though I was excited. I can't call being slain or drunk in the Spirit a work, something that I can do. It doesn't happen all the time but it does happen. I will admit, I've never been slain in the Spirit. But like I said, I've seen people healed, not everyone that has been slain or drunk in the Spirit, but I've seen it.

Aner, Basically the Creator became the Creation. God put a part of His own Spirit in the womb of Mary. I don't know how God did these things, it is a mystery. But the Godhead is not a mystery. Jesus told Peter that when you see Him, you see the Father. My first thought then is that Jesus is the Father. The Jews had a special relationship with God, to where they could cry Abba Father. He was their Father. Jesus was born a Jew. Jesus and Adam both had the same authorities, maybe looked the same. But Jesus was and is God. Jesus could not be tempted by Satan in the wilderness. He told Satan that you cannot and shall not tempt the Lord thy God. And I cannot deny that my God came and died for my sins, and rise from the dead to save me from my sins. Only God could do that because He is without sin. He was the only one who could defeat sin, death and the grave. When Jesus said not My will, but Thy will be done, Jesus was scared to die. God felt what it was like to be scared because He was limited to that flesh, in that flesh. That part of the Spirit of God inside that flesh felt the limitations of the flesh. God hungered, felt sad, got happy, got angry, grew in stature and wisdom, but all He was and could do was limited in that flesh. And when He died on that cross, He felt the weight of all our sins, and the same separation Adam and Eve felt when they first sinned. I hope I was clear enough. I won't be making anymore comments on this because I feel like I'm repeating things and I don't want to cram any of this down anyone's throats. o.O I've felt that I've said what I've needed, and I hope this will grow into something good. :) God bless and peace! :)

HolyGhost211, Amen to that. We can dance, we can sing, but what matters is our worship, and our relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ. Just like that song.. "I'm coming back to the heart of worship, It's all about you.. All about you Jesus."

Ah I see what you're saying, sorry about that. Our pastor did a sermon a few years ago on the Deity in Christ. In the beginning of the Gospel of John it talks about The Word, and about how the Word became flesh. When God created Jesus, He put His Spirit inside the womb of Mary, and took the flesh within her to create Him. That's where we get that Jesus is the Son of God and the Son of Man. Even though God was in Jesus, He was, and still is omnipresent, and invisible. If we were to see God the way He is in Spirit, we'd die. Moses was lucky to at least see the backside of God. But because of Jesus, we can see God just by looking at Him. Jesus wasn't always around before the world was made because all that was there was the Spirit world. When God created Adam, he spoke to the angels (or also called the gods) saying "Let us create man in Our image." He didn't create in a physical appearance but gave us all a spirit within us. He also gave us the same authority that the angels and God had. But because of our sins we lost our authority over all things on the earth. When we're born again, we gain back that authority. I hope I explained this well enough. If not, you're free to throw tomatoes at me :)

Aner, you are right on the fact that God doesn't make you dance, shout, clap, ect. But when you can feel God in the room, and you feel Him fill you up till His Spirit starts to overflow you, there's nothing you can do but get excited! Then there's the instance when someone either becomes Slain in the Spirit, Drunk in the Spirit, no person can control that. I've also seen people who were being healed begin to do things such as spaz out, shiver/shake, ect. Not saying everyone does this when it happens, but it does happen. It doesn't happen everytime, and not everyone does it all together at the same time. But the Bible tells us to dance before the Lord, praise him with our dance, timbrel, instruments, worshipping in Spirit and truth(Emotion/Logic). It also tells us to drink the Living Water, and that we should be drunk on the Holy Spirit, until it pours over. God wants us to cheer for those who's souls are won to the Lord. We are not to be ashamed of our worship, nor prideful, boastful, worshipping in the flesh. I know that the Church of Alexandria's goal in worship/prayer is to bring Heaven to Earth. Bishop G.A. Mangun says we can't go to Heaven without first bringing it down here, praying through the Tabernacle of the Old Testament. I believe that when we get to Heaven, we'll all be dancing and shouting and cheering for the Lord's victory.

Aner, I apologize for possibly repeating things, missing things, forgeting to add things that were kinda' important to this discussion, ect. It's been a rough summer this year for me, and I haven't been online as much as I normally am, so I've missed a few comments here and there. I'm not sure if I already said this, but Jesus was and is fully God and fully Man. He did have His limitations, hungered, felt pain, cried, and felt the need to pray. He was the only one who could die and pay the price for our sins, and also rise from the grave defeating Death, Hell, and the Grave. But He is full deity and full flesh. Again I apologize, I thought I had spoken of that. And if I did, lol, whoops again! It's hard to keep track of the comments when you go from not so busy to full blown everyday things that have to be worked on and finished while multitasking some other personal errands and such. God bless, Brother Jon Morrow.

Neat, but I don't remember Jesus having a whip when He overthrew the moneychangers. If you got a verse that says He did, lemme' know. :)

Hey Aner, Thanks for the reply, I'm sorry to hear about your brother. But I want to comment on the first thing you mentioned. I believe Jesus exists. But I believe that Jesus is God, and He is God alone. I don't believe that Jesus is separate from the Father, nor do I believe the Father is separate from Jesus. How can only 1 be seen on the throne if you believe there are 3 Gods? How can 3 be one? The Godhead was never meant to be a secret. When Jesus said that when you see Him, you also see the Father, doesn't that show that Jesus was saying He is the Father? The only thing that is a mystery is how God works. Our God doesn't want any confusion, because confusion is not of God. If the Godhead was a secret, then we might as well bring out the golden calf and worship it. God forbid though! It was only through the name of Jesus that I was healed. I got baptized in His name. I spoke in tongues just like everyone did in the upper room on the day of Pentecost. It just doesn't make me happy. I am fully satisfied knowing that my God died for my sins, and didn't look over to His son and say "Go die for my people." The only way our God could save us was to manifest Himself in flesh, die on that cross, and raise again to go and prepare us a place in Heaven.

Aner, Not all worship music is as you say "rocked up". Metallica would be a bad thing, especially during a worship service. POA is a church that can, and does, bring Heaven to earth. The UPCI also believe that we must worship in Spirit and in truth. That means to worship God with our emotions and logic. Sometimes we worship with upbeat music, and sometimes we worship with slow music. David danced before the Lord. Why can't we? God is an awesome God, faithful and true and worthy to be praised. Praise Him with the timbrel, with the dance, the loud cymbals, praise Him with everything.

Feb 18, 2008

WOW!!! God really moved on Sunday, February 18th. Our goal was for 12 people to recieve the baptism of the Holy Ghost, and we may have met our goal!

For our morning "Super Youth Service", the 'Praise Puppet', Judah, payed a visit to get everyone pumped to worship God. There was music, games, puppet shows, and a great message. After the first half, we had a more serious worship service for everyone. The Youth Group did a wonderful job with the "Lifehouse Skit", and Pastor Bill Thompson preached a great message, followed by many youth recieving the gift of the Holy Ghost. I don't know the number of how many but I did hear over 5-6.

Then our evening service, which the Youth had ran the opening worship service, music, offering, and an encore of there skit. Brother Josh Seivers preached and we had 2 adults recieve the Holy Ghost. If things couldn't get any better, they did. Following service, the two people who recieved the Holy...
