In The Image of God

Genesis 1:26 -27, 26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. 27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

When man was created, we were created in the image of God. Let us think about what that means. The word image means, a reproduction or imitation of the form of a person or thing; especially: an imitation in solid form. With that being said we were a reproduction or imitation of the form of God. God is Spirit so that means that the first man was made in the image of God was spiritual and an imitation of God in the solid form. Because man had not sinned at that point, there is a good chance that man existed in a glorified body. A body that was yet flesh...

    Minister Edwin D. Kerns and his wife Cinda have been serving the Lord for 10 years. In March of 2004 I received the call into the ministry while deployed to Iraq and was, in 2006 ordained as a minister of the Gospel with Grace Bible Fellowship of Antioch. On April 19, 2008 I was Ordained and Licensed as a Minister of the Gospel with the Minnesota Graduate School of Theology Ministerial Association. On July 31, 2008, I retired from the U.S. Army after over 25 years of service to our nation and am now settled in Jacksonville, NC.
