Google him and watch more of his stuff. You might change your mind when you see his softer side.

Justice, I believe my Bible says, "The way to the father is through His son, Jesus Christ". It says, "....whosoever believes in Him, shall not perish, but have everlasting life", so on and so on. Show me in the Bible where it says that they will go to hell for having a sense of humor? As a youth pastor, I can show you many places where it talks about judging....and when we as Christians start to JUDGE whether a person is saved or not, then you are starting to step on a slippery slope. Be careful with that....only God knows a person's heart and whether they accepted him as Lord and Savior. And to others, let's be careful using God's word out of context. Use it for what it was meant for, not what YOU want it to mean.....hermeneutics please.....

To me God is not to be made light of or speak in a joking or mocking sense. It is always so very important to have fear and reverence for the creator of all things. HE IS GOD! I could not watch the whole video. God is not a side show or a focus of humor!

I invite you to listen to Casting Crowns and see if your opinion changes. These contemporary CHRISTIANS are bringing teens to Christ, pure and simple. I know from expirence.

Roseline...it's ok for Christians to sit back and laugh! I'm sure Christ has a sense of humor as well...I mean, look at us, you can't look at the human race without laughing....lol. Laughing is good for the soul, even if it's laughing at ourselves...

And as far as mucic being used in worship, how do you bring teens to Christ. Music. Have you listened to Casting Crowns, Kari Jobe and countless other Christian artists. I'm amazed at the judgemental hearts.

I didn't like it. I don't mind Tim poking fun at our often silly ways of prayer like the whole prayer over the junk food we eat but this one struck me as being overboard because to me worship of a Holy God is sacred and seeing him use the words in a careless manner for a laugh just doesn't sit right. Kinda like when I was little, you could mock and make fun of or change the lyrics to songs but never to a worship song, those words are intended to honor God and be a Holy offering to Him. That's my 2 cents on it.

You all that are being critical need to watch more of Tim Hawkins, there is more to him being a funny, entertaining Chrisitan. He has heartfelt songs and a testimony. Don't judge until you know the whole man. If I took a friend who was on the fence about Jesus and Christianity to one of his concerts not only would she be entertained but she might just be blessed. There is more to him than just being funny. You should watch more of his video's and stop being so judgemental.

I did not find this funny. I did not find this entertaining. In fact, I am really, really sorry I found it at all!

Justice, maybe God does not want us going around passing judgment on other Christians, dividing His church. God gave us a sense of humor and that is not sinful. “Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life. I write these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God that you may know that you have eternal life. And this is the confidence that we have toward him, that if we ask anything according to his will he hears us. And if we know that he hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have the requests that we have asked of him.” 1 John 5:12-15

I think this is offensive. How does this honor the Lord? Musical instruments have their place (they were certainly used in the Temple, and see Psalm 150), but only in a way that brings glory to God. But I suspect that much of contemporary so-called Christian music is just an attempt to have the world affect the Church (and not vice versa, as it should be).

I agree. I have no use of musical instruments in the worship at all. Once you open the can of worms, everything gets in. I have a hard time thinking the apostles needed "entertainment" to get their point across. Let God's word stand on its on. The Bible says 1 pet 1:16 "Be holy because I am holy"

God knows the heart, not us.

Hey, if it brings the Led Zeppelin fans... to worship .... it is good! Jesus left the 99 to save one!

That guy is a riot! Brad and I laughed for hours watching his stand up.

the church today is so influence by the world, this is not what the gospel is.
