Would You Do This? Woman Lives Biblically for 1 Year

Found it entertaining but my belief is that after we give over our lives to Christ and ask him to enter our hearts and be our personal Lord and Savior, We submit ourselves to him and his will and he transforms us into the people he wants us to be, you know He is the potter and we are the clay......this transformation takes the rest of our days on earth, each day being progress and not yet perfection, we will not be sinless this side of heaven, I think the woman in this video has a heart that loves God and that it was a experiment she and her family, friends and neighbors will talk about for many years to come, and many as they talk about this story and think about theirown ideas it will open dialog about Gods word and thinking about how they live. These issues present good opportunities to share the Gospel message with those who do not yet know him, I say Amen to that! Well done girl :~)))))).

I thought Jesus also said, "I come not to dispell the law, but to fulfill it.

Also be careful before you judge because Jesus said about those who share His Word professionally that "A workman is worth wages," Luke 10:7. Also Paul said in Gal 6:6 " Anyone who receives instruction in the word must share all good things with his instructor." All are God's servants and not independently wealthy. Pastors receive a salary. Have you ever bought a Christian book or gone to a Christian concert or seminar? Were they free? So consider that before you judge a work of God that has potential to impact the world for Christ in a new and exciting way! Blessings sister! GG

I would like to think that this lady found a deeper relationship to God and her husband, that has enriched her faith and love for God and others. Only God should be the judge of the motive of her heart.

I agree with Mary's comment, this should have been entitled "Living like a Hebrew woman would have done in the Old Testament. Not a good testimony for unbelievers to hear. I think they would run a mile!

Yikes. She thinks it's impossible for women to live Biblically? Umm. what about the verse that says nothing is impossible with God. And thru Grace we are free from the law, no longer having to follow the old testament rules. There are plenty of things we can and should be doing as God following women, and it makes me sad that someone thinks it's silly.

There is a difference between biblical womanhood and strictly following the Law of Moses, is there not? I mean, most of what she did was great, I think, but camping out during her "time of the month" and stuff is not something that a Bible following woman has to do now. I think the idea was good, but she should be living biblically all of the time, right? Not just for a year. This was entertaining, but at the same time it makes unbelievers who watch this think that no woman out there is living biblically. She should have called her experiment "Living Like and Old Testament Hebrew Woman", I think that would have been more fitting.

This is the problem with the basic knowledge that God's people have. I hope she was trying to learn the LESSONS from the earlier Writings of the Word of God. There were Laws for Israel, the people of God, from which they should learn. In some areas she went waaaayyyy out to lunch. I do not believe. the Scripture meant that a man was not to physically, even touch his wife when she was in her Period. >>> We need to understand the Revelation of God in its Context and for its Purpose; much of which was to teach us of our Sin Nature and God's Holiness. By THIS we were to learn We Needed a Substitute. for the Debt of Sin. Only Jesus, the Messiah, could stand in our place and take the Full punishment for Sin and eternal payment since HE is Holy; even in the Flesh. >>> We therefore are commanded to Believe what God has said about Jesus, By Faith In This Truth, and receive Life in the Soul, living a new life of desire for Him to Manifest what HE does in this miricale; not living sinless BUT living to honor HIM and turning from sinful ways, day by day,,, in That power; perfected Only after death,,, but enjoyed in this life! The earlier Scripture is to lead us to the latter writings, which are fulfilled in JESUS.

Acts 15 1While Paul and Barnabas were at Antioch of Syria, some men from Judea arrived and began to teach the believers: “Unless you are circumcised as required by the law of Moses, you cannot be saved.” 2Paul and Barnabas disagreed with them, arguing vehemently. Finally, the church decided to send Paul and Barnabas to Jerusalem, accompanied by some local believers, to talk to the apostles and elders about this question. 3The church sent the delegates to Jerusalem, and they stopped along the way in Phoenicia and Samaria to visit the believers. They told them—much to everyone’s joy—that the Gentiles, too, were being converted.4When they arrived in Jerusalem, Barnabas and Paul were welcomed by the whole church, including the apostles and elders. They reported everything God had done through them. 5But then some of the believers who belonged to the sect of the Pharisees stood up and insisted, “The Gentile converts must be circumcised and required to follow the law of Moses.”6So the apostles and elders met together to resolve this issue. 7At the meeting, after a long discussion, Peter stood and addressed them as follows: “Brothers, you all know that God chose me from among you some time ago to preach to the Gentiles so that they could hear the Good News and believe. 8God knows people’s hearts, and he confirmed that he accepts Gentiles by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as he did to us. 9He made no distinction between us and them, for he cleansed their hearts through faith. 10So why are you now challenging God by burdening the Gentile believers with a yoke that neither we nor our ancestors were able to bear? 11We believe that we are all saved the same way, by the undeserved grace of the Lord Jesus.”12Everyone listened quietly as Barnabas and Paul told about the miraculous signs and wonders God had done through them among the Gentiles. 13When they had finished, James stood and said, “Brothers, listen to me. 14Peterc has told you about the time God first visited the Gentiles to take from them a people for himself. 15And this conversion of Gentiles is exactly what the prophets predicted. As it is written:16‘Afterward I will return. and restore the fallen housed of David. I will rebuild its ruins and restore it, 17so that the rest of humanity might seek the Lord, including the Gentiles—all those I have called to be mine. The Lord has spoken— 18he who made these things known so long ago.19“And so my judgment is that we should not make it difficult for the Gentiles who are turning to God. 20Instead, we should write and tell them to abstain from eating food offered to idols, from sexual immorality, from eating the meat of strangled animals, and from consuming blood. 21For these laws of Moses have been preached in Jewish synagogues in every city on every Sabbath for many generations.”. The Letter for Gentile Believers. 22Then the apostles and elders together with the whole church in Jerusalem chose delegates, and they sent them to Antioch of Syria with Paul and Barnabas to report on this decision. The men chosen were two of the church leadersf—Judas (also called Barsabbas) and Silas. 23This is the letter they took with them: “This letter is from the apostles and elders, your brothers in Jerusalem. It is written to the Gentile believers in Antioch, Syria, and Cilicia. Greetings! 24“We understand that some men from here have troubled you and upset you with their teaching, but we did not send them! 25So we decided, having come to complete agreement, to send you official representatives, along with our beloved Barnabas and Paul, 26who have risked their lives for the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 27We are sending Judas and Silas to confirm what we have decided concerning your question. 28“For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit and to us to lay no greater burden on you than these few requirements: 29You must abstain from eating food offered to idols, from consuming blood or the meat of strangled animals, and from sexual immorality. If you do this, you will do well. Farewell.” 30The messengers went at once to Antioch, where they called a general meeting of the believers and delivered the letter. 31And there was great joy throughout the church that day as they read this encouraging message.

I'm a born again christian and I don't live like this yes a women should honour her husband and a husband hes wife but u don't have to hold up a banner to prove this. we are all sinners and fell short of the glory of god. once we exept jesus in to are hearts has are lord and saviour the holy spirt convicts us of are sin so if u went to swear or u do u would fell really bad and would repent. the same would happen for any kind of sin u do once your saved there's no amount of pennys u put in a pot that could stop u from sinning. jesus christ died for are sins and has changed my life so much for the better and can do the same for u. the bible is gods word but some times peaple interpretate it wrong and miss the meaning of what god is trying to say. god bless x.
