  • 2012-10-04T15:11:39

You have inspired me today how you took some bad and ugly and turned into a real lesson. No minister could have done as well. I struggle with weight every day. Like you there is more to me than size, don't judge me until you walk a mile in my shoes. God has really used you today to help someone who has been bullied about there siae. Thank You for doing this. I wish you were in our area, I would watch your station because you don't just cover you go inside the news.

Bullies come in all forms, shapes, and sizes. Courage comes in one. ~ Vonda Etter.

Susan Helmuth ~ Yes, God is a God of love but He's also a Holy Judge Who will judge everyone on Judgement Day. For one to go to Heaven he/she must REPENT (turn from) their sins and fully place their trust in Jesus just as you would put a parachute ON to save you from a plane crash. You can't just BELIEVE in the parachute but must put it on. It's like that with Jesus. There has to be a born-again time in your life to go to Heaven and that's where a testimony comes in. So many today believe that God is ONLY a God of love and that He automatically forgives everyone for their sins without repentence!

OMG, what a beautiful message you have stated to that man that was trying to Bully you and others, like myself, that struggle with their weight. Good for you, that you had the courage to stand up for us. I do understand how society looks down on people who do "NOT" fit into the "NORMAL WEIGHT CATAGORY", I have been there all my life and it saddens me to know how mean people can be. They do not know what they are doing to ones self esstem and once self worth. Thank you Jennifer for stand up for yourself and others. "forgive them Father, for they know what they do".....

  • 2012-10-04T14:37:30

God Bless you - you are truly beautiful inside and out. You are a wonderful role model for everybody and I found you to be very inspiring. Thank you!

I have to say that I disagree with you. While I do agree that homosexuality is a sin, there are kids that are bullied because of it and THAT is wrong. And God did nit and does nit say change your heart and then you can come to me. He says come to me as you are(broken and messed up) because I LOVE you as you are and because I love you and forgive you! Then you can change as the Holy Spirit works in your life to change the less desirable things in your life. Bottom line here. LOVE! God's unchanging and unconditional LOVE!

Well, I'm going to be the dissenting opinion here. I just wonder if anyone here actually read the email sent to her. Personally, I did not consider it "bullying." If the general public believes this to be bullying, then we truly have become a nation of thin-skinned, whiny cry-babies. Let me re-print it in case you have not read it: "Hi Jennifer, It's unusual that I see your morning show, but I did so for a very short time today. I was surprised indeed to witness that your physical condition hasn't improved for many years. Surely you don't consider yourself a suitable example for this community's young people, girls in particular. Obesity is one of the worst choices a person can make and one of the most dangerous habits to maintain. I leave you this note hoping that you'll reconsider your responsibility as a local public personality to present and promote a healthy lifestyle." IMHO, as a TV personality, you are going to get all kinds of emails, some good, some awful and whether or not it's right, people WILL judge you by your appearance. If you cannot deal with that, then you should get out of the business. This man was concerned about her obesity being UNHEALTHY rather than unattractive. Being obese is something you CAN change, unlike the color of your skin. Let me say that I have been bullied a lot in my life time but I did something about it instead of just whining. As a result, I have very thick skin. I agree with him. The obesity epidemic in this country is out of control, especially among kids. I gained quite a bit of weight after I turned 40. But, I have recently lost 10 lbs. and I feel infinitely better (i.e., no more constant GI issues). A book that helped me and gave me a different perspective on weight is "Made to Crave: Satisfying Your Deepest Desire with God, Not Food" by Lysa TerKeurst.

Will there come a day when all will realize we are all different. I am so glad there isn't more people like me. This lady said it very nicely.

I would so have loved to listen to the entire video, as I feel for Jen and am certain I would be proud of her if I could see the entire vid. But often the vids take so long to load and I have sufficient bandwidth. Don't know what to do.
