"They trust in their wealth and boast about how rich they are, yet not one of them, though rich as kings, can ransom his own brother from the penalty of sin! For God's forgiveness does not come that way. For a soul is far too precious to be ransomed by mere earthly wealth. There is not enough of it in all the earth to buy eternal life for just one soul, to keep it out of hell." TLB Psalm 49:6-9.

God loves us as if we were the only person left in this world to love.

  • 2012-01-11T20:52:14

God is Love! All we have to do is breathe in and out and we can feel it and be grateful!

  • 2011-10-24T11:28:37

Without a doubt I believe, but thank God He thought we were worth dying for.

No, we're not! To be "worth" something means you have something to offer, which scripture says "our righteous deeds are like filthy rags" Isa 64:6. Jesus said, "there is no one good, but God alone" Luke 18:19. Visit to find out how God will judge you when you stand before Him, and how to be saved from the wrath to come.

To all those that have responded that you are NOT worth dying for: I am Keith, the one that made the original video post, and am a pastor. I want to encourage you to look at Scripture and see what the Lord has said about us. We often confuse "worth" with "worthy". No one is "worthy" of Jesus dying for, but in God's eyes, we are all "worth" dying for. Jesus Himself made this clear in a series of parables He gave in Matthew. For example, in Matthew 13:45 - 46, Jesus said that His Kingdom is like a man that sold all that he had to buy the one Pearl of great price. That Pearl is His Church - the Church consists of people who were harlots, publicans, sinners, thieves, adulterers, drunkards, drug addicts, etc., (1 Corinthians 6:9 - 11; Ephesians 2:1 - 3) who are now redeemed by God's Grace. NONE of us are "worthy" because we were the "enemies" of God before salvation (Romans 5:6 - 11). But we are "worth" Him dying for because of the character of love and mercy that God is revealed in His creation of man! His desire is that all people that He created in His own image that are now lost in sin would be found again through HIS salvation in Christ Jesus (Luke 19:10; 2 Peter 3:9). God's love for man that He created is beyond our understanding. "Worthy" of dying for - None of us are. "Worth" Jesus dying for - all of us are. NOT because of anything that we are or have done; It is only because of WHO God is that we are "worth" dying for. I hope that somehow God our Father can help you see His great compassion for the people He loves - PLEASE re-read Ephesians 2:4 - 10. May the Grace and Truth of God our Father guide us all.(John 1:14)
