Melissa Lane Ashby I agree with Melissa - I have a special needs child and she is wonderful - but it is still a heartache to see the pain and struggle, I would take her place but cannot - so I pray for God's will instead - and yes, I ask Him to take it away if He wills it - who knows that in going away, this wouldn't be an even bigger testimony to the never ending grace of God?!

Our Heavenly Father answers all of our prayers. I think no one should criticize another brother or sister's prayer. My son was not born hearing impaired but by the time he was 4 years old he was hearing impaired. I prayed for 8 years now for his healing. It is with great excitment to tell you that he passed his first hearing test this year. He was so happy! To see your childs face when he puts on grandma's hearing aide 2 yrs ago and screamed "I can hear!" "Talk to me, everyone talk to me!" Yes my prayers were answered! I wanted that for my son! If it did not happen, then there would have been the unknown. Thank you Heavenly Father!

Wanda Owens Reed - Yes i agree with you partially - god will get glory in every circumstances, at the same time remember when his eye is restored back - what a testimony it would be and he would bring much much greater glory to our master. Disciples asked Jesus in John 9:2- whose fault was this man has born blind, was it this man, or his parents - Jesus said neither this man nor his parents but the work of god must be displayed in his life. Past October i was ministering in a city there they brought a twin boys aged 19 born lame. Two people carried these boys on their back and was brought on to the stage. After ministering and prayer Lord restored them and both the young man walked on the stage for the first time in their life - the whole crowd glorified God. Jesus got all the glory. Hence my humble request unto the Lord is to restore his eye sight so that our creator will get more greater glory and his grace will be displayed.

Melissa Lane Ashby and Wanda Owens Reed, how about we just thank the Lord for this child and let the Lords will be done? He is created the way he was for a reason. I don't think he is handicapped, he is just different. But he is still able to serve the Lord! I understand you are both parents, and you both love them and accept them for who they are, not what you Don't have. They are fearfully and wonderfully made!
