Jeremiah White I was just thinking the same thing when I saw his comment about being our brother's keeper!! I was like "seriously...he's quoting CAIN!!!" We are ABSOLUTELY our brother's keeper! I pray to God that I never get the spirit of Cain on me and begin to think that I am not to be concerened about my brothers and sisters:) God bless you

Jeremiah White ....Actually, I know the Bible, but you obviously missed my point which is much larger. ..................... of course men struggle, but there is nothing right in my opinion about anyone like Kimberly or Nancy, or you for that matter publicly calling out that woman for the way she was clothed in this video. It is after the fact of the video being produced and displayed, and I don't believe anything good can come from calling attention to the woman's clothing. The video was produced to call attention to our Savior Jesus Christ...............Thanks, and I also am a bju grad.

But Patty, Paul tells Titus in chapter 2 to tell the older women of the church to train and teach the younger women. Are we so quick to be non-judgmental that we so loosely accept whatever happens in the church? It's interesting to note that in the verses quoted so frequently about not judging (like Jn 7:24, "Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment." ), Christ is actually still encouraging us to exercise sounds judgment. It's true, no one but God and this lady know if she was sincerely worshipping. But that's not the issue at hand. The issue is whether or not her dress is modest. And this of course comes down to opinion. For example, if a woman walked into church with a bikini on, would you deem that inappropriate? I would imagine so, but why? Based on your opinion of immodesty. So are the people on this comment boards doing the same. They just have different views of modesty than you do perhaps.

Douglas Howe, actually we are. Romans 14:21 "It is good not to eat meat or drink wine or do anything that causes your brother to stumble." If something I do is a stumblingblock to my brother, then why would I do it? Even if it's ok for one person (as Paul is describing eating meat sacrificed to idols in this chapter), another brother/sister may be convicted of it. And Paul says you're not walking in love if you cause your brother to stumble (vs 15). I am appreciative, as a Christian young man, of women like Kimberly who recognize that men do struggle, and that they as Christian sisters should strive to help us as much as reasonably possible. Thank you Kimberly :)

Nancy, this video does not need your approval at all.........................!!!

Kimberly Shaw Kammerer .................You are not your brother's keeper!!!

Neat

Kimberly Shaw Kammerer thanks for speaking the truth as you see it. I had the same thought; the lady should have considered what message she will be really passing on. Many unbelieving brothers out there would've ended up lusting after her before they can be reached by the message of salvation she wanted to pass across. However, I do not condemn her or judge her; I simply believe the POTTER still has a lot of work to do on her, just like the rest of us. I only ask that who ever bears spiritual authority over her helps to steer her in the right direction. She's got gifts that the LORD can use for HIS glory, but she's also got to be aware of the devil's ploy to use her worldliness as a stumbling block. For those who think appearance don't matter at all, I simply ask whether you think she would have been allowed to wear this to work? Evangelism is the greatest job a believer can have and I wonder why many think 'anything' goes in this most honorable of professions! God cares not only about our hearts, he is also concerned about our appearance as His temples. Just read your Bibles and you'll know. Shallom to all.

I love it. God looks at the motive behind everything. He looks at the heart and weighs it so whatever you do or say remember that.

Juliana Jules Till Blauner This is a post I put on my facebook not long ago. It might help you see where I'm coming from: We don't live a holy life, to be saved. We live a holy life BECAUSE we are saved! Holiness is not an isolated truth. It is not totally a matter of the inner life, nor is it totally external. It affects every area of our lives. Holiness is not simply a matter of the right language, or habits, or recreation, or clothes, or friends, but when it is in the heart, it affects all these things and much more. In Old Testament times, when a thing - such as a piece of furniture that belonged to the Tabernacle - was sanctified, it was considered holy unto the Lord. It was never to be used for any other purpose than for what it was dedicated for. To become holy, then, was to become the property of God, set aside for the service of God, according to His will. With people it is different, because we have wills and complex mental, physical, and spiritual patterns. But up to this point, we have a very good example of the principle of holiness: To be separated from the past and recreated from our original state into a person of usefulness to the Lord of glory. In 2 Corinthians 7:1, we have a definition of holiness: "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." When we come to God, and obey his plan of salvation, the atoning blood of Jesus Christ forgives the past, washes the heart clean, throws wide the gates of eternal life, and suddenly we have a new name as a child of God, angelic protection, and an open line of communication between the closet of prayer and the throne of God. Now, holiness suddenly becomes our business. How shall we live the life, which is begun in us,above reproach and free from the world's attractions and influences? We begin by cleansing ourselves from all filthiness. WE are to take the initiative. The Holy Spirit will reveal the Word and will teach us (Titus 2:11,12), but we must do the act of turning from the carnal way of life to the way of holiness which pleases God. Holiness is both a positive and a negative process. Our cleansing is from all filthiness. When this is accomplished, certain results should be automatic. In James 4:7and 8, we see this principle demonstrated. "Resist the devil and he will flee from you. Draw nigh to God and He will draw nigh unto you" In Titus 2:12, Paul set forth the principle of holiness when he said, "The grace of God...hath appeared unto all men...teaching us that denying ungodliness...we should live soberly, righteously, and godly...." So you see, there is a divine arithmetic in holiness: The subtraction of all that is worldly in our lives and the addition of heavenly qualities. The next very important thing we need to realize is that all undesirable qualities that may be in us are in the same category in the sight of God - filthy. Any affection or lust that tends to turn us away from God must be reckoned as filthy and removed from our lives. Thankfully, God didn't give us a command to live holy and then leave us hanging! He gave us power! We have the power to rise above the temptations of this world, when we are filled with the Holy Ghost! God, help me to live a life that is pleasing before your eyes, so that I may be a living "billboard" that displays your goodness, your grace, your mercy and your holiness!

Kimberly Shaw Kammerer Praise God we don't have to rely on OUR holiness but are made holy through the blood of Jesus and are HIDDEN in CHRIST. None of can be perfect in the flesh but we are forgiven and holy in his sight because Jesus paid the price. Nothing WE can do or say can add or take away from thet. There is rest in the finshed work of Jesus and not in our own works, thank you GOd.

If this were not able to motivate me daily, nothing else in the world would be able to!

Novena Holland Woah, time out, my comment above wasn't even about that lady! I was responding to Felicias comment that if someone has a spirit of lust it doesn't matter what a person has on. I welcome your prayers, I covet any prayers I can get, but I also know that scripture says, "to him who knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him is it sin", so since I know that God has convicted me on such apparel, and I know that it's wrong, then it would be a sin for me to forward this video for others to see. There are many other videos that can "bless someone" without offending. Thats all I was saying in the beginning. And as for the not judging comment you made, be sure that you remember 1Cor. 6:2 "Do you not know that the saints shall judge the world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters?", I know that people like to say we CANT judge because the bible says "Judge not, lest ye be judged", but I agree with Romans 14:13 that says "Therefore let us stop passing judgment on one another. Instead, make up your mind not to put any stumbling block or obstacle in your brother's way." So, that is why I feel it's wrong to dress immodestly. It is putting a stumbling block in front of your brothers in Christ. You don't know me, or the type of life that is in my past. I can tell you that it's not pretty, but God has changed my life, and I won't go back to the lifestyle of tempting men for pleasure. That is why I feel so strongly about this issue.

Kimberly, you are judging this young lady and you know nothing about her other than she is dancing in a video that you feel is unholy because of what she has on. Jesus said in John 8:7 on behalf of the adulteress woman( He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.)Not saying that this woman is an aduteress but who are you and anybody else to be casting stones at this young lady? Do you not fall short and sin and what is she doing that is sinful? If the video bothers you don't look at it, don't send it to anyone, but for you to sit here and cast stones because of her clothing your wrong, you need to pray and fast against the spirit of lust not the person. Everyone's interpretation of what holy and holiness should be is different, stop looking at the outside of a person and go by ones character. God uses whomever He wants whenever He wants and I just pray that you don't miss your blessing because of your judgmental attitude. I will be praying for you!
