My 7 year old daughter recently got baptized this month. Our baptistery walls are high so when she walked in all you could see was the top of her hair. Afterwards our Pastor ask her to stand on her tiptoes so everyone could see her. She did and then said "HI!". She had the whole church laughing.

Just to add to that. "And he said: "I tell you the truth, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 18:3 NIV

Marriage is a serious commitment too, but we laugh at the mistakes made during those ceremonies. We are supposed to live our whole lives in a commitment with God, so are we supposed to never laugh for the rest of our lives? Come on people, get real. There were goofs made at my baptism and we laughed! It's not a sin.

Katie Justiss, I have often heard people quote Matthew 18:3 and Matthew 19:14. However we should never just quote a Bible verse without the correct context behind them. Let us conceder these to passages verses in context. Matthew 18:1-6 After you read the passage you will find it is not talking about acting in a childish manner. It first starts with the disciple asking answer question who is the greatest in the kingdom. Jesus answers the question by telling them they must humble themselves like child before God. In other words think about how a child humbles himself before his parents that how we should approach God in our love, service, and obedience to Him. Then Jesus explains causing a child to stumble by leading them in to sin is wicked and God’s judgment will fall on them. Application: Humble yourself like a child before God. Be humble and respectful to God and to my neighbors. Matthew 19:13-15 After you read the passage you will also find it is not talking about acting in a childish manner. It starts off with disciples rebuking people for trying get Jesus to laying his hands on them. Jesus was explaining that they should stop the children coming to Jesus to laying his hands on them for kingdom belongs to both young and old. Application: Do not prevent children participating in fellowship with God. Thus Children should feel free to go to church, sing worship songs, participate in church events. These not only true for children but non-Christians as well. It is important to note that these children did not become disciples of Jesus but just that Jesus lay his hands on them. Now consider this passages. Luke 14:15-33; Matthew 5:33-37; 1 Corinthians 11:23-32 Luke 14:15-33 In this passage Jesus explains what people most consider before becoming his disciples. Now when we become Christians that means we become disciples in Christ. First Jesus must be the most important person in our lives life before anyone else. Second live a sacrificial life for Christ, which is living obedient life to the commandments of Christ. The Jesus tells us just like building a tower or fighting a war requires consider the consequences before commenting to a action, so a person considering to become a follower of Christ should consider the consequences before commenting their lives for Christ. Application: We should have basic understanding of what we are commenting to before becoming a Christian. Matthew 5:33-37 In this passage Jesus warns that to do what you say you’re going to do and if you do not fulfill what you say you’re going to do then you are sinning. That if you are going fulfill what you say are going to do then do say you are going to do it. Application: We should only say we are going to do something unless we truly me fulfill it, if not we are lying. A person should not be baptized unless the person truly wants to be baptized follower of Jesus. To be baptized and not mean it is to lie to God and all people watching. Thus the person is sinning. 1 Corinthians 11:23-32 This passage is not about becoming a disciple or being a child. However this passage is about the Corinthian church not taking Lords Super seriously enough. Instead they were getting drunk, be gluttons and ignoring needs of others. Thus the Lord punished them with weakness, sickness, and death. Application: Take things of God seriously. This not to say church cannot be fun and enjoy, but it should be treated lightly either. I would stop my son/daughter anyone else of any age (childe, teen, or adult) if they do not clearly understand what they are commenting to, the seriousness of the moment, and yes the joy of the moment. I would want them to be able to answer the questions. 1.Do you understand that you are a sinner and broken God’s Law and guilty before Him for the wrong that you have done? (Yes) 2.Do you understand that you deserve to be punished by God for wrong you have done? (Yes) 3.Do believe that God became a man in Jesus, so He could die on a cross and rise again, so He could pay for your sin, therefore you can fellowship with the father? (Yes) 4.Do you believe in Jesus and do you trust Him to forgive all of your sin? (Yes) 5.Do you want to follow Jesus and honor Him and obey Him and serve Him for the rest of your life? (Yes) 6.In virtue of this good confession in front of all these people and before God as your brother in Christ I now baptize you in name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. If they cannot answer, understand and answer these question honestly then they are not ready to be baptized. I believe when Holy Spirit has fully ready a person for conversion and baptism it will happen but not before it. We should not rush someone who is not ready to make commitment.

*Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Matthew 18:3... Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these. Matthew 19:1* I hope you do not stop your children from being baptized! God reveals Himself to children just as well as adults, if not more so. It is the man-made, fake, religious dogma that takes us until adulthood to figure out.

Peoples! We are made in God's image; we have a sense of humour, therefore God has a sense of humour. He is probably belly laughing over both the video and some of the comments!

Kelly, you can copy or send this to your email box, then open it in your own email, select all the comments below the video and then share just the video. I think that'll work and you. Or share it on your wall on facebook, edit it, share the edited part on your page, then go back to your wall and delete the original. Hope that helps.
