Liz Edwards Collins Well, Liz, that's one reason I don't go to most churches. Carnal, joking, worldly churches. Yes, the church that I attend is pretty serious, but I wouldn't have it any other way. To me and to the church that I attend, God and God's church is serious business. I actually hate church humor, in church, and on tv. It simply turns my stomach. Believe me, I've had my fill of lukewarm churches. Yes, I suppose you wouldn't like the church I attend. It's a small church, people dress up on Sunday morning and Wed. night. No ushers, greeters, choir, fellowship, ministry team. In the service, people sit like statues, not talking, not joking around. Their focus is 100% on God and whoever is preaching. I believe that is how church should be. The women wear skirts or dresses. No jeans. No, this is not a holiness church. Holiness comes from within, not without. It's just that the women believe in being modest, not impure in dress.

Michelle Pary Well, of course you don't want to be a hypocrit. You should try to live a Godly life in church and outside of church. I just think that some things are proper in church and some things are not. Some stuff that I would consider secular, like music, would not be played in the church that I attend. But I might listen to that secular music at home. I don't think that makes me hypocritical.

Do you know what kind of instruments you can buy for the price of those ipads?

  • 2012-12-12T00:01:11

This is cool!! It looks like an auditorium not a church.

  • 2012-12-11T21:33:27

Wow it sounds incredible

  • 2012-12-11T21:30:21

Just Love it.

Jeff Ede, yes I agree, very impressive! If you would like to watch good Bible Teachings other than just at your church, try God's Learning Channel from Texas.

Sorry, but the church you describe Jeff, sounds like a pretty stodgy place. My Pastor cracks jokes during his sermon, is that wrong too? Traditional Christmas music is fine, we all know the Reason for the Season...

jeff, are u saying that people should act one way outside a church and another inside? WHat makes that ok, to me it seems rather hypocritical. Church is not just the building, we ARE the church, the body of Christ. And our focus is Jesus, yes, but we gather to support and encourage and teach each other and lift each other up. I'm sure they don't ignore the important things, this is a special concert, not something that would happen every Sunday. And sometimes, it's ok I'm sure just to have fun.

Pretty impressive, but I think in a church setting, songs should reflect on Jesus's birth, not on any secular Christmas song. Also, I don't think Santa caps are proper in church either. This is a church, right? Shouldn't a church focus on Jesus? Looks to me like they're trying to be hip, cool. Sure wouldn't do that in the church I attend. Otherwise, outside of church, I have no problem with that kind of music. I'm not a Christmas grinch! :)

your right there but this remarkable.

  • 2011-10-21T22:00:29

It sounds great, but nothing can replace real instruments.

  • 2011-07-01T18:28:46

We don't need instruments any more!
