I.m surprised that this video has been posted on this web. Most religions are at fault for animal abuse. The bible, for instance, says that "animals were created to serve man", plus all the sacrifices of animals to god....

The 'wayside pulpit' at our local church many years ago had the inscription 'The lion will lay down by the lamb'...How ever some local 'wag' had put underneath...bet the lamb don't get a lot of sleep! Thank God for a good sence of humour.

Lions do have a heart to love with; its not all about 'instincts' with animals!

the lion is just checking to see if she is plump enough to eat yet. All is needed is one time the animal is in a bad mood, and GULP, she's gone.

WOW! Loved this video.God works great love into all he has created. The love displayed by the Lion speaks above and beyond millions. Love does conquers all evil. I give a BIG HUG to the rescuer & the lion.

Loved it and loved the one about the two guys and their lion Christian. After a year, they returned to the sanctuary where they had taken him. Beautiful reunion.

Here's the website for the refuge for those interested: http://www.refugiovillalorena.org She rescues all kinds of animals and there are over 900 there according to the website. She has photos and videos of them. She has a list of medicines and food supplies that are needed, so if people don't trust money going there, they can donate food/meds. The donation page says that you can send money via Western Union.

Please do not let your young children even see this, they may not understand this is "special", a girl in California who was a trainer, lost her arm reaching in through the lions bars. THIS is special, and I applaud the lady for what she is doing, but a small child may see this and think it is okay to do something like this at the zoo. Touching moments, but it is a rare thing, remember Sigfried and Roy? Yes a Tiger, not a Lion, but they were "family" , so wild animals are not a "sure thing" regarding domestication. Small children see things on TV and do Not understand that some things they see are dangerous for them! Blessings, Cobi Henry.
