I am sharing a post here that I know may make some people uncomfortable. This is a delicate topic. I am sorry if this is disturbing, it makes me uncomfortable too. This is a heartbreaking subject. Even so, I feel compelled to share it anyway, and I will explain why. Last week I received an email from GodTube that really touched my heart. The email contained a video that was made by a young lady who has suffered terribly in her young life. Her message is one of pain, but also one of strength, courage, and hope. I am fully aware of the potentially tragic consequences that abuse can cause in the lives of the victims. I have experienced it first hand in my own life, and through the life of the best friend that I have ever had. My intention in posting this is to offer encouragement, support, and compassion to those who are hurting or suffering. You are not alone. I want to let them know that someone cares, I care, and I know that God cares. He hears our cries, our prayers. I want those afflicted with depression to know that life can, and does, get better. I wanted to reach out before any more people make the wrong decision. If my post helps even one person, I have made a difference in not only in their life, but also in the lives of those who love and care about them. Suicide is never the right decision, it also also never the only choice. I am painfully reminded of just how extreme and far reaching the damage caused by abuse can be. Although my story is painful, I wish to share a part of my life that had brought me much happiness, but also the worst pain and anguish I have ever endured. I am sharing this very personal part of my life to honor a beautiful life that was cut short too soon. It is the story of the life, and death, of the best friend I have ever had. In January of 2004, I lost my best friend to such a tragedy. As the result of severe, and prolonged abuse, my best friend, Christie, suffered such severe, and unrelenting depression that she ended her own life. Losing Christie was the most severe anguish I have ever felt. it still is, and will always be, a great loss to me, and to the world. Christie's death has left a wound on my heart that will never heal. She was my best friend, and like a sister to me. She has been gone for 9 years now, and as her birthday approaches, she has been brought back to the forefront of my thoughts. I am sharing this post out of a desire to help others, and as a tribute to her life. I want to encourage those who are suffering to seek help. Talk to others, pray. Call out to Jesus. You are not alone, there are people who care. To everyone, May Gods love shine on you,

I know how strong you are. My childhood ran very similar to your own but I was nearly 50 before I asked for help. If I Had your strength I would of dealt with my problems much sooner.

Thank you for being more braver than I have ever been. I always kept my stories to myself about being abused. But I too did get stronger and watched others more and take up for the ones that are being hurt. Your written words brought tears of all the bad memories, because the pain was so horrible to live with, I almost commited suicide at age 15. And this is the 1st time I've actually said it or even wrote it. You are so beautiful on the inside, and don't you ever change! You're doing the right thing, and God knows your Love for others! You just keep on staying strong and keep turning to God when the hard times come on. He will always be with you and will hold you under His wing where no one can hurt you again! And keep Being YOU! God Bless you!

Kaelynn, you are now on my prayer list for daily prayer. I praise God that He had better plans for you & your life than allowing your life to end in the 5th grade. What an awesome God we serve. Wonderful challenge to the ones that watch this video. I could see the pain in your face along with the love & the joy at other times. I pray the Lord, through His Holy Spirit, wraps you in His love and never lets go. He will also heal your speech so you will be able to boldly proclaim & testify of His glory, as I also praise Him for the healing His has done in your heart and in your mind, in Jesus' Name. Putting the devil under our feet where he belongs...YES!
