FUENTE: El Universal Tras 11 años, Corte atrae el caso Acteal POR: CARLOS AVILÉS Después de 11 años, la Suprema Corte de Justicia de la Nación (SCJN) se hará cargo de aclarar y emitir la sentencia final en el caso de la matanza de 45 indÃgenas registrada el 22 de diciembre de 1997 en la comunidad de Acteal, Chiapas. Los ministros de la sala penal del máximo tribunal del paÃs decidieron ejercer su facultad de atracción para revisar tres juicios de amparo que promovieron 24 de los indÃgenas que fueron sentenciados y responsabilizados de la masacre, quienes argumentan que se construyeron pruebas para culparlos de crÃmenes que no cometieron. En los amparos que revisará la Corte, la defensa de los inculpados argumenta la existencia de diversas irregularidades en la averiguación previa que realizó la ProcuradurÃa General de la República (PGR), que influyeron en el sentido de los fallos que se emitieron en su contra tanto en primera como en segunda instancias. Los ministros coincidieron en que al atraer los asuntos se tendrÃa la posibilidad de fijar el valor de aquellas pruebas en cuya obtención se ha infringido la legalidad o se han practicado sin las formalidades legales establecidas para su obtención, violando con ello los derechos fundamentales de las personas, reconocidos por la Cons#!!!#ución federal. En entrevista posterior a la emisión de dicha decisión, el ministro encargado del caso, Sergio Valls Hernández, explicó que la resolución de los amparos correspondÃa a dos tribunales colegiados ubicados en Chiapas, pero ambos le pidieron a la Corte que atrajera los casos por tratarse de asuntos de relevancia y trascendencia nacional. El ministro Valls dijo que “la Primera Sala de la Corte analizó sus solicitudes y, por la importancia y trascendencia desde el punto de vista jurÃdico fundamentalmente, de los juicios, se decidió atraerlos, toda vez que de su resolución pueden surgir criterios novedosos”. En tanto, la Suprema Corte de Justicia explicó que el caso Acteal le permitirá “examinar la cons!!!%ucionalidad de diversos artÃculos del Código Federal de Procedimientos Penales, impugnados por los quejosos, por considerar que violan garantÃas consagradas en la Carta Fundamental y, con ello, emitir criterios novedosos referentes a las garantÃas cons#$!@ucionales de igualdad procesal en derecho penal y a la defensa adecuada”. |

This is rather long so I'll make it brief...Mexican Indians did not convert of their own free will...forced conversions came along with the inquisitional office from Spain, along with the many Jews who fled Spain disguised as Catholics. The Virgin you mention was already present on Mexican soil because she was an Indian goddess who demanded blood sacrifice..., and was adapted by Cortes to resemble one of the Virgins from his hometown. And I will mention again that the tradition Paul referred to was Jewish...our roots are in Jerusalem...not in the Vatican. |

Go to...www.CBN/CWN.com and look for articles by Gary Lane about Chiapas and the International Day of Prayer for the Persecuted Church... and mundo cristiano for Chiapas Mexico...You will also find that an archbishop is largely held responsable for the organizing of the Zapatista rebel movement ... for which the Pope JP had him forceably retired... but too late to avoid the Massacre at Acteal in 1997. Look under Open Doors.com/Compass Direct for any articles about the persecution in Mexico...and remember the 40,000 Indians that were expelled from Chamula in the 80's leaving thousands to die in refugee camps from starvation and sickness in San Cristobal de las Casas. The caring and ethical Catholic church that I thought I was a part of would not have let those things happen, less encourage it. How much more do you want??? Look for the articles of Oscar Moha...the most well known human rights defender and journalist in Mexico... right now there are 10 evangelical families that Catholics authorities(politicians in local governement) are expelling from their lands so they can build a Catholic church... they threatened to burn the children with candles so their parents would leave. How Shameful is this hatred for others who also believe Jesus is the Son of God come in the flesh!!! Concern yourself with the sins of your church and concentrate your efforts in the purification and cleansing from within that needs to be done... |
