‘No Longer Slaves’ – Beautiful A Cappella Worship From Voices Of Lee

A group of supremely gifted vocalists turned in an excellent cover of a song about no longer being bound by sin, fear and shame.

Since sin entered the picture through the bite of the forbidden fruit, the world has been a lost, lonely and dangerous place. Likewise, the location is inhabited by people who are sinners, living in their shame and separated by God.

But because God so loved the world, He sent His one and only Son that whosoever believes in Him may not perish but have everlasting life, as it reads in John 3:16. Jesus Christ went to the cross, as a willing sacrifice, to die a horrible and agonizing death for all mankind. His death and resurrection made it possible that we would not be condemned to live and die in sin.

In a video posted on YouTube, the many members of Voices of Lee use only the strength of their voices and sing A Cappella about what Christ’s sacrifice has done for their lives. Because of His love for them, they are “No Longer Slaves.” Instead, they are freed from their sins and fears. But are now children of God, as the lyrics state.

“I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God
I’m no longer a slave to fear
I am a child of God”

What an uplifting, life-changing, moving and powerful message!

Praise God for His undeserving gifts of love, mercy and grace. Without those gifts, all would be destined and condemned to live out their days on Earth lost and in sin. That love and forgiveness of sins are still changing lives today, making people children of God.

In addition to the message in the lyrics, the beautiful vocal performances make this cover worthy of several listens.

John 1:12 “To all those who did so take him, however, he gave the right of becoming children of God – that is, to those who had faith in his name:”
