'What a Friend We Have in Jesus' The Statler Brothers

The Statler Brothers lead us in worship with the beautiful words of ‘What A Friend We Have In Jesus.’ This classic hymn always reminds us that God stands by our side through the good time and the bad.

“What a friend we have in Jesus
All our sins and griefs to bear
And what a privilege to carry
Everything to God in prayer”

The Statler Brothers formed in 1955 and continued to play music until their retirement in 2002. Throughout the years, these talented men have gives us hits such as ‘Flowers On The Wall’ and ‘Til The Storm Passes By.’

Today, we’re worshipping along with this live performance of ‘Blessed Assurance.’ This hymn always reminds us of God’s love and support and it’s the perfect way to praise His Name.

“Oh, what peace we often forfeit
Oh, what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry
Everything to God in prayer”

Even in times of struggle or doubt, God walks with us each step of the way. He is our constant friend and supporter who will love us for all of the days. As you listen to these words, we are comforted by His never-ending love and grace that washes over each and every one of us. Amen.

John 15:15 “No longer do I call you servants, for the servant does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all that I have heard from my Father I have made known to you.”

Winning requires us to remember our Rock, who rescues us and gives us a firm standing place, and our Redeemer, who rescues us from total loss.
