Mom Accidentally Sends Hundreds Of Invites For Daughter's Birthday Celebration
A mother accidentally invited hundreds of people to her 1-year-old daughter’s birthday party.
Everyone gets older, and there is nothing anyone can do to change that fact. People can buy products that promise to make you look or even feel younger. But we all know they aren’t able to deliver what they are promising.
Despite the invention of anti-aging products, people get older with every passing day, hour, minute and second. One of the most prominent reminders of getting older is birthday parties. As people get older, birthdays are an annual dreaded date on the calendar.
However, children enjoy birthday parties. One mother wanted to celebrate her daughter's one-year-old birthday with a party, but things went hilariously wrong when she went to invite people.
In a clip posted on YouTube, Emily King explained that she made an Evite for her child’s birthday celebration. Before sending the electronic invitation, the system prompted her to complete one more task.
“And on Evite, it says, ‘import contacts,’ and I thought it meant import to select through,” Emily said. “No, it imported all 487 of my contacts and invited them to this birthday party.”
Unfortunately for Emily, that wasn’t the worst of it. Invitations were sent to everyone in Emily’s phone, and the invites were addressed to them as they were listed in her phone.
“But it sent an invitation based off of how they are stored in my phone,” she said. “And I want you to just take a second and think about everyone stored in your phone, and how they’re stored in your phone, and then imagine them receiving an invitation.”
Emily said the invitations went to people and addressed them as “Jess, hit her car in parking lot” and “old man, neighbor.”
While it sounds like a horribly embarrassing but hilarious situation, Emily was able to laugh at the mishap.
If something like that were to happen, you could only laugh about it and hope that others would have a sense of humor about it as well.
Proverbs 17:22 “A glad heart makes a healthy body, but a crushed spirit makes the bones dry.”

Today's Devotional
A Prayer for Your Child to Be Bold for the Gospel - Your Daily Prayer - May 22
My prayer today is that we will not hinder children from knowing the Lord. Instead, let us pray that their boldness will arise. But let us also remember we cannot pray for our children to be bold in their faith if we aren’t bold enough to teach them!
