Young Woman's Electrifying Michael Jackson Cover On The Voice
One woman on The Voice turned in an electrifying and awe-inspiring performance during her blind audition as she covered a beloved Michael Jackson tune.
Michael Jackson was an entertainer unlike any other. He was blessed with an abundance of God-given musical talent. Michael’s career, which started when he was still a tiny child as a member of The Jackson 5, spanned decades.
Michael changed pop music several times throughout his career. He wasn’t nicknamed the “King of Pop” for no reason. Nearly everything he put out was a hit and ended up topping the charts. His songs, which are legendary and iconic, are still widely heard on the radio and covered by many different artists, including one woman who recently auditioned for The Voice.
Elyscia Jefferson, a 20-year-old, gave a stunning, electrifying and dazzling performance of Michael’s “P.Y.T.” Her voice is beautiful, very much sounding like someone who would be right at home on the radio now.
Moments after opening her voice to sing the opening lyrics, Shay Mooney of Dan + Shay is taken aback by her sound.
“Oh my gosh,” he says to his fellow judge and bandmate Dan Smyers.
After registering his amazement at Elyscia’s vocal talent, Dan + Shay slams their buttons, turning their chairs around and signaling their desire to add the talented young singer to their team. But they weren’t the only judges who quickly hit their buttons.
Mere seconds after Dan + Shay flip around, Reba McEntire, the Queen of Country Music, has also heard everything she needs to hear. She turns her chair around for Elyscia. Chance the Rapper is not too far behind as he flips his chair around.
Elyscia’s audition is fabulous as she is obviously a gifted singer who seems able to produce such beautiful sounds effortlessly.
Ephesians 5:19 “Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord;”

We don't know what is going on in the hearts and minds of wayward children and grandchildren. God doesn't ask us to know, but God does say to ask, seek, knock, and pray without ceasing.
