Dad Dances With Son After Finding Out Toddler Is Cancer-Free

This dad dances with his son to celebrate finding out that the toddler is cancer-free — I can’t handle these happy tears!

Back in the summer of 2018, Kenny Allen Thomas, his wife, and his four kids found out that their little Kristian had leukemia. The family was in and out of the hospital for a month during his first round of chemo.

Like the incredible dad he clearly is, Kenny took a step back from teaching at his dance studio so he could be by his son’s side. To cheer up his baby boy and create a positive environment, Kenny continued dancing with him through the ups and downs and eventually started sharing their dances on his TikTok.

Only a few months later in November of the same year, Kristian’s doctors said that his cancer was gone. Kenny called it a miracle. By God’s good grace, little Kristian beat his battle with leukemia.

At that point, their father-son dances had gotten noticed online, and people immediately fell in love with the dancing duo. Kenny said, “The one thing that was very, very powerful was that we were helping a lot of people that were in that same situation or other situations that were battling their own thing.”

So, every month since he beat cancer, Kristian and his daddy do a special dance to celebrate another month of being able to be together and spread positivity to other families going through their own struggles.

This adorable video of the two wearing matching flannels dancing outside their home went viral — obviously! It’s been viewed over a million times and has over 350,000 likes. It’s just too darn cute to not watch over and over!

This November marks three years of being cancer-free. Bless little Kristian, Kenny, and the rest of their family for making it through their battle and continuing to put smiles on others’ faces. The internet loves you!

Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. James 5:14-15

A Prayer to Deepen Your Faith This Christmas Season - Your Daily Prayer - December 7

God's Word doesn't say, "You will not face trials of any kind so long as your life is filled with joy." What it tells us is that we will face trials throughout all of life, and to count it as joy, which will lead to steadfastness.
