It is just another day at the dinner table in Charlotte, North Carolina. However, for us watching the video, we are amazed. A woman owns a rescue dog and she prays over his food every time that he eats. The dog does not eat unless the food is blessed.
This precious pup stands at attention in this video next to his bowl of kibble. The owner is praying over his food. She starts with gratitude, thanking the Lord for the new day and for life. She asks God to use the food to nourish her pet.
The sweet animal is looking straight at his owner, focused with his big bright eyes. When she says Amen, the dog is still waiting patiently, and she says Amen again. Suddenly, the adorable pooch begins to eat.
I have neve quite seen anything like it before. The dedication to wait and not rush his meal is impressive. The dog is well trained and sets an example to all of us that if a pet can wait on prayer first, so can we.
The patient dog reminds us that we can easily rush into enjoying things given to us in life, however it is so valuable to take time first to thank God who blesses us with every blessing.
