Rare Male Soprano Sings Opera

One young man has been able to use his unique and very different voice to tremendous effect, performing operatic parts typically reserved for women.

There are no two people who are the same. The Lord specializes in creating and developing unique individuals. He blesses everyone with a specific set of skills, talents and gifts, which are to be used to bring glory and honor to His name. Now, those gifts and skills that set people apart from one another may be more apparent in some than in others.

Samuel Mariño is one of those people who has been blessed with a God-given gift and talent that not few possess. Samuel has a lovely, pleasing singing voice, able to belt the lyrics to some of the most beautiful songs ever written.

However, Samuel has a voice that allows him to sing the soprano parts in those tunes, a rare occurrence and ability for a male singer. Typically, soprano singers are women who reach for and hit some impressively high notes. To have a man who is able to do this is extremely rare indeed, according to Sunny Skyz

In a clip posted on TikTok, Samuel puts his beautiful voice on full display, singing along as an orchestra backs him up during the performance. One could easily listen to Samuel’s voice and delightful tone for quite some time without growing tired.

Unfortunately, life was not always easy for the man with a distinct voice. Samuel explains that his voice never broke, and so he does not have a noticeable Adam’s apple. Samuel was not the only person who noticed the uniqueness of his voice.

“It was quite hard for me in high school, to all this bullying, people bullying me,” Samuel said. “And it was very tough.”

Later in the clip, Samuel mentions that the first suggestion that he give opera a try came from an expected source.

“So a doctor told me, ‘Why you don’t try to sing opera?’” he said.

James 1:17 “Every good and true thing is given to us from heaven, coming from the Father of lights, with whom there is no change or any shade made by turning.”
