‘Family Switch’ Netflix Christmas Movie Starring Jennifer Garner
Jennifer Garner and Ed Helms star in a new Netflix Christmas-themed film about what it’s like to experience life in someone else’s shoes.
No one can fully understand what it’s like to experience life as someone else. The Lord created us all as unique individuals. Each person has their own specific set of likes, dislikes and preferences. That also means that no two people will experience life the exact same way or think similarly on every topic or subject.
The new film from Netflix, “Family Switch,” explores this idea of living in someone else’s shoes, seeing things through another person’s eyes and with a different perspective. In the opening moments of the film’s trailer, Jennifer Garner’s character states she’s worried “that we’re all kind of disconnected,” in reference to her family.
Given how each member of her family, including her husband, played by The Office star Ed Helms, have their faces glued to a screen, her fear is understandable. Everyone seems off in their own world, completely unaware or unconcerned about the person sitting next to them.
Jennifer’s character, sensing the growing disconnect, is determined “to make a happy memory as a family.” In a moment of anger and frustration, each family member tells the other how much they wish they could know what it’s like to go through life as them. They all soon get their wish.
As the family gathers and poses for a picture, something unexpected happens. The following morning, the family quickly discovers that they have all literally switched bodies with one another. The baby and the dog even somehow managed to switch bodies, which provides for several jokes in the 2-minute trailer.
Ed Helms’ character, after discovering he switched bodies with his son, makes a joke referencing one of Jennifer Garner’s most beloved films. It’s quick, but fans of Jennifer Garner will pick up on it.
“I’m 13 going on 30,” he exclaims.
“Family Switch” arrives on the popular streaming service on November 30 and is rated PG, according to the film’s trailer.
Exodus 20:12 “Give honor to your father and your mother, so that your life may be long in the land which the Lord your God is giving you.”

A Prayer to Stay on the Path of Righteousness - Your Daily Prayer - October 5
Staying on the path of righteousness takes work; many distractions and hindrances exist. But, each day, we have a choice: will we choose God and His ways, which are better than ours (Isaiah 55:8-9), or the way of the world that leads to destruction (Matthew 7:13-14)?
