‘Surrounded By Holy’ Bethel Music Worship Performance

The Lord is great, magnificent and powerful, capable of more than we could ever know or hope to know. He is worthy of all praise and worship!

The Bible is littered with mentions and examples of the holiness of the Lord. The song “Surrounded By Holy” from Bethel Music is about the goodness, awe-inspiring power and holiness of God.

In the song’s first verse, the musicians ask to be in the place where “saints and angels bow before You.” From the lyrics, it is clear the musicians are constantly amazed by God's greatness and holiness. In the second verse, the musicians mention that simply being in God’s presence is a feeling unlike any other.

The song’s simple but beautifully written chorus informs listeners about the wonder, awe and amazement of God. There is none like Him, for no one is more worthy of our praise and adoration!

“Holy, surrounded by holy
There’s no one more holy
I’m in wonder and awe”

A verse in the latter stages reinforces this idea of the holiness of God. The Lord is so full of love, mercy and grace that all the musicians can do is cry out, “holy, holy.”

What better location to sing about the wonder, power and holiness of God than surrounded by His beautiful creation? The musicians play in a picturesque forest with massive trees all around. Intricately placed lights help to provide a look and a feel that goes along perfectly with the song's lyrics.

God is holy and worthy of all praise and worship! His holiness, power and love are so much more immense and encompassing than we will ever know. Praise God for His mercy and grace!

Leviticus 20:26 “And you shall be holy to me: for I the Lord and holy, and have severed you from other people, that you should be mine.”
