Anne Wilson Shares Her Favorite Bible Verse

Life is not always a fun and enjoyable time. In fact, there are often many instances when circumstances and situations are rather challenging, demanding and unpleasant.

Unfortunately, everyone will encounter these unpleasant and troubling times, at one time or another. In fact, God’s Word tells us that we will all experience such trials and tribulations on this earth.

In a video posted on YouTube, Grammy-nominated Christian music artist Anne Wilson read off one of her favorite pieces of Scripture, which comes from 1 Peter.

“In this, you greatly rejoice, though now for a little while, if need be you have been grieved by various trials,” she reads. “That the genuineness of your faith, being much more precious than gold that perishes, though it is tested by fire may be found to praise, honor and glory at the revelation of Jesus Christ.”

What a wonderful promise from God that, even during troubles, He is still working and is in control!

Anne also states that those verses come from 1 Peter 6-7. The musician also explains why those words from the New Testament book mean so much to her.

“I love that Scripture and the reminder that we’re going to go through hard times on this earth,” she said. “We’re going to suffer through things. But there’s a promise that it’s going to be OK in the end, that God has a plan and it’s all for his glory and honor.”

Yes, it is true that all of us will endure these awful, even painful periods of time. However, God’s Word also mentions, throughout the Bible, that He will never leave us or forsake us during our time of need.

Hebrews 13:5 “Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, ‘I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.’”
