Cats' Doorway Jumps Have Internet in Stitches

Cats’ doorway jumps have the internet in stitches.

If you haven’t seen this viral video that’s making rounds on the internet, you don’t want to miss it. The owner of Waffle, Toast, and Egg has an Instagram channel titled, Breakfast of Cats with the byline, “Three brothers, three breeds, three breakfast cats.”

Waffle, Toast, and Egg are used to challenges their owner provides. Whether it’s attaching their toys to balloons, creating a kitty diner out of a cardboard box, or in this case, jumping over tape like professional hurdle jumps, there’s always an adventure to be had. So far, their adventures have garnered over 15 million views and have amassed fans from all over the world.

In this viral video with over 1.5 million views and 15,000 comments, the cats’ owner wanted to find out how high he could tape the doorway before Waffle, Toast, and Egg would throw in the towel. In slow motion, we get to watch the cats jump over the tape with agility, grace, and poise.

At first, the cats realize it is a game and jump over the first two layers with ease. By layer number six, the cats have to put in a little effort. But by layer eight, which is halfway up the doorframe,  one of the cats barely makes it over.

By layer 11, the cats have grown bored of their owner’s game and look at the daunting height before Egg won the challenge. But by then, Waffle decided it would be better to “work smarter, not harder,” and he proceeded to bite a hole into the second layer and saunter through. Well played, Waffle, well played.

We hope this video brightened your day and gave you an idea to challenge your favorite furry feline. Or at the very least, it gave you a chance to become fans of The Breakfast Cats.
