Secret Santa Surprises Young Mom Recovering From Injury After Falling Off Horse

A young mother of two recovering after suffering significant injuries was surprised at home with a sweet and touching gift from an anonymous donor.

The Christmas season is a terrific period of time, filled with friends, family and often, way too much food. For those struggling physically, financially, emotionally or spiritually, the holidays can be an unpleasant time of year. That’s why some people will dig a little deeper into their pockets to help their fellow man, bring a smile to someone’s face and ease their burden a tad.

In early October, Kailey and her husband, Cameron, were riding horses when she was thrown from the animal, hitting her head on a fence post on her way to the ground. As a result of the fall, Kailey sustained a devastating series of injuries, according to the video posted on YouTube.

The wife and mother of two was initially admitted to the intensive care unit. Doctors learned that Kailey had suffered three broken vertebrae, a broken foot, a concussion as well a brain bleed.

Doctors have also told her that she is not to bend, twist or lift anything, including her children, for 6 to 8 weeks. So, to take care of the kids, Cameron has been off work.

As the group of journalists knock on the door, Kailey answers the door. While she recounted her painful set of circumstances, Kailey remained positive and upbeat. She appeared hopeful, not down in any way.

Then, when Kailey receives the surprise gift of $2,000 in gift cards to help with groceries, the young mother of two loses it. She lets her guard down.

“That’s so sweet,” Kailey says through tears. “Oh, I’m sorry. That’s, that’s amazing. That’s going to help us so much. Thank you, guys. This is so awesome.”

Kailey’s road to recovery will be several months, requiring the use of a back brace, a walking boot and physical therapy.

While Kailey and her family are experiencing a trying, likely financially frightening period, someone who did not want any recognition stepped up and helped the family. May God greatly bless that kind and generous individual!

Acts 20:35 “I have showed you all things, how that so laboring you ought to support the weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”
