Kodi Lee Emotional Golden Buzzer Performance On America’s Got Talent
One unbelievably talented musician, Kodi Lee, returned to the America’s Got Talent stage and turned in an emotional and Golden Buzzer-winning performance, singing a song for his mother.
Very few people in life have a bigger impact than mothers. Many would argue that moms are the most influential people in one’s life. Mothers play several roles. They are caregivers, cheerleaders, protectors, disciplinarians and sometimes the breadwinner. Oh, and they are also the person who gives birth to you.
In a clip posted on YouTube, the musically gifted Kodi played yet another original of his. But before his performance, the young man announced to the audience and the judges his inspiration for the original piece of music, “Journey of You and I.”
“I wrote this song for my hero,” Kodi said while sitting at the piano. “Mom, this song is for you.”
Kodi’s tune is a beautifully written piece in which he sings about his mom, thanking her for everything she has done for him throughout life. He understands that without her constant encouragement, cheerleading and love, he would not be on America’s Got Talent singing to an auditorium of adoring fans.
“Built me up to overcome all the doubt with your love
Always right by my side,
Push me to keep on dreaming
Thank you for just believing”
Throughout the terrific and heartwarming performance, the camera catches several people in the audience wiping away tears from their eyes. Likely, there wasn’t a dry eye in the entire room by the end of Kodi’s stunning and sweet performance.
Like every other Kodi Lee performance, the entire room, including the judges, responded with a deafening standing ovation.
Simon Cowell, Mel B, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel showered the talented musician with compliment after compliment. But the biggest moment was saved for last.
Howie unexpectedly walked over and to the surprise of everyone watching, hit the Golden Buzzer. It was absolute pandemonium as confetti rained down from the ceiling!
Colossians 3:16 “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.”
