Behind-The-Scenes Look At Anne Wilson’s Video For ‘Rain In The Rearview’

One of the biggest names in Christian music, Anne Wilson, has given fans a unique, behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video for her song “Rain in the Rearview.”

Hollywood, through fancy, slick editing techniques and other deceptive camera tricks, makes all the television shows, movies and music videos appear like it’s glitz and glamor. But that is hardly the case. Filming a television show or movie often calls for long, 12, 13-hour days on set.

In a clip posted on YouTube, Anne treats viewers to some of the work that goes into making a music video. She and the director of the video even talked about the video’s concept and what they were trying to convey.

At the beginning of the nearly 4-minute clip, Anne welcomes her fans to the behind-the-scenes look at the making of the video. She also states how excited she was to work with some of her favorite people and what her song, “Rain in the Rearview,” is all about.

“I got to work with one of my favorite directors, TK McKamy, and it’s all about moving forward from the past and stepping into what God has for you,” Anne said.

Both Anne and the video’s director state that there are three different versions of Anne represented in the video – a stoic, a healer and finally, one who is searching for and reaching out to God.

Also, Anne mentions that not every shot of her in the video was her. Instead, Anne’s sister steps in front of the camera and makes an appearance.

“This video is very special because my sister, Elizabeth, gets to be in it,” Anne said. “It’s three different versions of myself but then she is one of me, and it makes it so much fun just to be together on set.”

Anne adds that her sister, Elizabeth, typically works as her stylist, picking out Anne’s clothes.

What a beautiful song and video! It’s always interesting to hear how a story, a movie or a music video came together.
