Sunday Worship Service, October 26, 2008

Join us in the worship of the living God through the great hymns of the Church and readings from Holy Scripture. Pastor MacLaren will sing a solo from the hymn, "Sing, My Tongue, How Glorious Battle," and the congregation will sing "Arm of the Lord, Awake," and "How Beautiful the Sight." Scripture readings were from Psalm 74 and Ephesians 2. Feel free to share this with any who might be encouraged by it. Hymns were selected from the original Trinity Hymnal of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (www.opc.org), and Scripture Readings are from the New International Version of the Bible. First Presbyterian Church meets on the corner of Fifth and Race Streets in Perkasie, PA. To learn more about First Presbyterian Church, go to www.firstchurchopc.com.

Today's Devotional

A Prayer for Victory over Sinful Thoughts - Your Daily Prayer - July 26

Victory over sinful thoughts starts with dependence upon God to stay free from enslaving sin. It’s a life lived with a surrendered mouth and heart before God. Winning requires us to remember our Rock, who rescues us and gives us a firm standing place, and our Redeemer, who rescues us from total loss.
