'Sweet Holy Spirit' Worship Song From The Isaacs
“The Bible it tells us in God's words so true
The sweet Holy Spirit is promised to you
It sat upon Jesus in the form of a dove
When John was baptizing God's dearly beloved
Sweet Holy Spirit I'm down on my knees
I am low in the valley, I am so weak you see
But I know I can make it, for I trust in thee
The sweet Holy Spirit is falling on me”
This talented family sings these powerful lyrics and blends together angelic harmonies throughout the song. The family group began singing together over 35 years ago, and they are based out of Hendersonville, TN. In the band, the vocalists consists of mother Lily Isaacs and siblings Ben Isaacs, Sonya Isaacs Yeary, and Rebecca Isaacs Bowman. According to their website, The Isaacs “have a unique style that blends tight family harmony with contemporary acoustic instrumentation that appeals to a variety of audiences. Their musical style has been influenced by many genres of music including bluegrass, rhythm and blues, folk, and country, contemporary, acoustic, and southern gospel.”
The song ‘Sweet Holy Spirit’ reminds us of how we can find strength in the Spirit. When we are weak, we can put our trust in the Spirit to comfort us and lead us. What a wonderful gift that we have from our Heavenly Father to show us His love!
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore, honor God with your bodies.
