Usher Sings 'Amazing Grace' During Kobe Bryant Tribute
The Bryant family suffered a terrible loss on Sunday, January 26, 2020. A helicopter crash in Calabasas, California killed basketball legend Kobe Bryant along with his 13-year-old daughter, Gianna Bryant, also known as GiGi. There were 7 others aboard the plane that also lost their lives.
Kobe Bryant made a huge impact on so many people all around the globe and his loss was felt worldwide. Recently, the Los Angeles Lakers honored Kobe with a beautiful tribute at the Staples Center.
Artists, fellow players, and fans came together to pay respects to this inspiring man. To open up the emotional ceremony, Usher performed an emotional rendition of ‘Amazing Grace.’
“Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
T'was blind but now I see
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear
