'How Can It Be' - Lauren Daigle Live From Winter Jam
Lauren Daigle, arguably the biggest name in the Christian music scene, gave an emotional and powerful performance of her hit song, “How Can It Be” as part of a large, annual Christian music tour.
The world is a lost and broken place filled with fallen, hurting people. Sin, ever since it entered the world, has wreaked havoc on anything and everything it touches. It has destroyed lives and ruined relationships. But thankfully, because of God’s love, mercy and grace, He made a way. He sent His one and only Son to take our place and die upon that cross.
In a clip, Lauren Daigle performed her award-winning hit single “How Can It Be” on Winter Jam. The lyrics of Lauren’s song perfectly capture and articulate God’s mesmerizing and undeserving gifts of love, mercy and forgiveness.
The song’s opening verse mentions how we are all guilty of sin and deserve death. We don’t even deserve to lift our hands in praise to Him. But despite those facts, as the chorus states, Christ came in and changed it all. He has defeated sin and is still changing hearts and lives today.
“You overcome
You gave Your life
To give me mine
You say that I am free
How can it be?
How can it be?”
In addition to the tune’s powerful and truth-filled lyrics, the clip’s visuals are also moving. Lauren sings to thousands in a packed arena, where many hold their hands up in praise, thanking the Lord for what He has done in their lives.
The Bible says that all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God. However, despite our sinful nature, the Lord continually shows pity and love for us, choosing to forgive our willful disobedience and rebellion against Him. Praise God! His love and grace are much greater than all our sins.
1 John 1:9 “If we say openly that we have done wrong, He is upright and true to His word, giving us forgiveness of sins and making us clean from all evil.”
