AGT Contestant Ansley Burns Sings 'Amazing Grace' In Church
Ansley Burns made headlines as a 2019 contestant on the popular talent competition. Her initial audition went viral after it was almost ruined by a bad song track.
Thankfully, judge Simon Cowell gave the young girl a second chance and she blew everyone away with her a cappella performance. She made it all the way to the semi-finals with her sassy personality and incredible vocals. Now, she’s standing in front of the church for a soul-stirring rendition of ‘Amazing Grace.’
“Amazing Grace, How sweet the sound
That saved a wretch like me
I once was lost, but now am found
T'was blind but now I see
T'was Grace that taught my heart to fear
And Grace, my fears relieved
How precious did that grace appear
The hour I first believed”
This iconic hymn was written by John Newton. It served as words of thanks to the Lord for giving John new life. John was a sailor, known for his crude language and actions. But one day, he found himself caught in a terrible storm.
After hours manning the helm of the ship, his thoughts turned to God. After surviving the weather, John started his life as a Christian and dedicated himself to serving the Lord.
Today, young Ansley is taking on this beautiful classic and it will blow you away. We serve such an amazing Father in Heaven and these words are a testament to His power and mercy on us all.
