Bindi Irwin Says It's 'Devastating' Raising Newborn Without Her Father Steve

I challenge you not to cry when Bindi Irwin says it’s ‘devastating’ raising newborn without her father, Steve.

Regardless of how you feel about wildlife and zoos, you Probably loved the Irwin family as much as the rest of the world. Steve Irwin had the kindest heart for animals AND people. He probably couldn’t have loved anything more than his baby girl, Bindi.

When Steve died in 2006 from the infamous stingray accident, Bindi had to start imagining her world without a father. A world where he wouldn’t see her graduate. A world where he wouldn’t walk her down the aisle. A world where he wouldn’t meet his granddaughter, Grace.

Baby Grace was welcomed into the world a little over a month ago by loving parents Bindi and Chandler Powell. Bindi said, “It’s hard knowing that she’ll never get to actually meet [Steve]. And it’s devastating cause I’ll never get to watch that connection.”

Not even a whole minute into the clip yet. I hope you have tissues nearby!

Steve Irwin’s original ‘Crocodile Hunter’ lasted 8 years. He also starred in a kid’s documentary series called ‘The Crocodile Hunter’s Croc Files’ for a few years alongside his main show. His final series, ‘The Crocodile Hunter Diaries,’ lasted 4 years, up until his death.

Bindi knew how much love her dad had for his family and said, “It’s really hard that he’s not here. Because out of everyone in the world, he would have loved her the most.”

The video even shows little Grace in her brand new Australia Zoo khakis. If you’re not crying at this point, her matching outfit will surely bring some tears to your eyes. She is so adorable and is a part of such a wholesome family!

First-time parents always have it tough but raising your baby without your own dad? That’s 100 times harder. Bindi and the rest of the family will keep Steve’s spirit alive and make sure that Grace Warrior knows everything about her grandpa.

“His heart and soul lives on in all of us. He’s never really gone,” Bindi said while holding back tears.

Time with your loved ones is precious. Cherish every second.
