They focus on one of the statements with which those identified as Chrisitan Nationalist adherents strongly agreed. The statement concerns the federal government's role in instituting "Christian values." James and Alin discuss the implications of such a statement for the Church, for the meaning of the word "Christian," and highlight the difficulties of the statement for an orthodox understanding of the Bible and theology.
