In this episode of F.I.T. Biz Tips, I am at my favorite local coffee house here in Virginia Beach, Sawdust Road. This business is near and dear to my heart, and there are so many reasons why during this time. However, the main thing that I want to talk about today is their convenience factor. And Sawdust Road has utilized this time to actually enhance their business. It‘s blown my mind to see how their sales have skyrocketed, and how they have not had an empty parking lot since day one of COVID.

This is because they‘ve leaned into their convenience factor. With everything going on, they have developed a grab-and-go experience, just like fast food. They also have playgrounds and seating everywhere outside, making it possible to connect over a cup of coffee with friends.
